What if I need accommodations?
Adaptations and accommodations are granted by the College Board, not Dartmouth High School. If you require accommodations, you must identify this need to Ms. Adams no later than September 27, 2018 in order to allow enough time for your application to be compiled and submitted.
What if I have a conflict on the exam date?
Occasionally, students may have a conflict with another event on the exam date. Some acceptable examples of conflicts are National Sporting events such as Canada Games qualifiers, or conflict with another exam such as the DELF. If you know this to be the case, you must inform your AP Coordinator as soon as possible. Ms. Adams will work with you to find an alternative. You may be permitted to write the Late Testing Advanced Placement Exam.
Students should avoid scheduling medical appointments (exceptions may be made for Specialist appointments), extra-curricular activities, field trips and other similar events on exam day.

I am nervous about writing the exam. What should I do?
You're probably not alone! If you are experiencing feelings of nervousness towards writing the exam or you have a diagnosed anxiety disorder, please speak with your guidance counselor, your teacher or your AP Coordinator. Dartmouth High has a whole team of people in place to help you manage your nervousness and prepare you for exam day. Don't wait until the last minute to talk to someone!
